Measure D is a win-win for City leaders and taxpayers in Colton.
Measure D will cost taxpayers nothing. It simply allows the City to fill a funding gap by transferring a limited amount of money from its Electric Utility Fund to the General Fund for a period of 5 years.
In return, taxpayers will benefit in two major ways:
- Measure D guarantees no increase in electric rates or city taxes for five years.
- Measure D allows important city services like police, fire, 911 emergency paramedics, parks and road maintenance to continue uninterrupted.
